HEAD LIFEGUARD
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Head Lifeguard. As the Head Lifeguard, you will play a critical role in overseeing the operations of our lifeguard team and ensuring the safety of our patrons at all times.

What You’ll Do

Supervise and manage a team of lifeguards, providing leadership, guidance, and support.

Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe swimming environment.

Monitor pool activities and respond immediately to any emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed.

Train and evaluate lifeguards on proper lifeguarding techniques and emergency procedures.

Perform routine maintenance of pool equipment and report any maintenance needs.

Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping, incident reporting, and staff evaluations.

Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, addressing inquiries or concerns professionally and courteously.

Serve as a role model for the lifeguard team, maintaining a high level of professionalism and adherence to policies and procedures.
What You’ll Need

Must be 18+ years old & hold a current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.

Previous lifeguarding experience, including experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of lifeguarding techniques, water safety, and emergency response procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.

Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.

Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Who We Are

We are a private recreational facility located in Windermere in Southwest Edmonton.

Our heated outdoor pool serves approximately 600 households with a chance to participate in free swim activity times, as well as special programming throughout the summer.
