Exciting Updates on Restoration Works at the Leisure Centre!

Good morning, residents! We have some fantastic news to share regarding the ongoing restoration works at the centre. We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this process, and we are thrilled to see significant progress being made. Allow us to provide you with the latest updates.

The Masonry wall

The masonry wall, which has been under construction, is coming along beautifully! We have made substantial headway, and if the weather continues to cooperate, we anticipate its completion by next week. Following that, we will focus on adding the finishing touches to the fencing surrounding the wall. This will not only restore the aesthetics of the area but also contribute to the overall safety and security of the centre.

Out With the Old...

In addition to the masonry wall, exciting changes are on the horizon for the playground! We are working diligently with our contractors to ensure the best possible outcome for this crucial recreational space. The plans include an extensive renovation that involves the excavation and removal of the existing sand surface. In it's place, we will be installing a poured-in rubber surface, which offers several advantages, such as improved accessibility and increased safety.

In With the New.....Playground Elements!

The new playground medium will also feature engaging elements, including a vibrant hopscotch design and decorative painted splash pads. These additions aim to provide more diverse play opportunities and foster creativity among children of all ages. We are delighted to announce that we are actively collaborating with our contractors, and we are aiming to break ground on this exciting project in early August.

The Timeline

While we understand that this is a busy period for the contractor, we have been given assurance that we will be prioritized for any potential cancellations or changes to other projects. If such an opportunity arises, rest assured that we will seize it and expedite the restoration process even further. We promise to keep you informed promptly if any developments occur in this regard.

Our target is to complete the restoration works and have everything back to it's former glory by the end of August. We recognize the significance of the centre and its facilities to the community, and we are committed to delivering a revitalized space that exceeds your expectations.
