Swimming Pool

General Information

  • Pool generally opens on June 1st and closes after September long weekend (weather permitting).

  • When extreme weather occurs (lightning and thunder), the pool will close and not re-open until one hour after weather subsides. 

  • Pool schedule and activities change yearly. Please consult the website, facebook page, or sign up for emails to receive the most up-to-date information. 

  • Pool policies, including hours of operation, may change from time to time at the discretion of the Windermere Residents’ Association.

Life Jackets & Lifeguards

  • Lifeguards are NOT always present. Use the pool & facilities at your own risk. 

  • If flotation toys are blocking a lifeguard’s field of vision, all residents will be asked to remove their toys from the pool. 

  • Available in various sizes and recommended ​

  • Located by the exit gate and are subject to availability at the time.

Rules & Courtesies

  • Private events are prohibited (eg. birthday parties, team events) and parties will be asked to leave immediately if this occurs.

  • Pool furniture shall not be removed from the pool deck area or placed into the swimming pool. 

  • Appropriate swimming attire is required.

  • Diving is not allowed.

  • Children under 6 must be at arms length from a adult at all times.

  • Children under 12 must have an adult present at the pool deck.  Children unsupervised will be asked to leave the facility.

  • Residents and guests are expected to respect one another in and out of the pool.  Staff reserve the right to ask for activities in the pool to cease immediately and/or ask users to leave the property if individuals are not adhering to the rules.

Sanitation

  • All playground sand must be washed off at the outdoor shower, not in the indoor facility. (Sand clogs plumbing)

  • Showering is mandatory before entering the pool.

  • Parents are responsible for ensuring their children do not urinate or defecate in the pool. Swim diapers must be worn where necessary and are available upon request.

  • Clean pool toys allowed (no bath toys).

  • Food and drink must stay away from the pool at all times

Amenities

  • The slushie machine is available on certain days while supplies last. Bring your own clean, reusable cup.  Please be considerate of the amount you consume so everyone can enjoy it.

  • The heated, outdoor shower near the entrance gates are available for rinsing before and after.

  • Swim diapers may be available upon request to our staff. 

  • Indoor facility showers are equipped with cleaning solutions including shampoo and body wash.

  • Washrooms are fully stocked with amenities (lotion, feminine products, diapers when available, etc.). 

  • Infant change tables are available in both washrooms.
